I just received our new Nextbook tablets for the Kids' Christmas. It's very impressive. My impressions started with the very quick delivery. I ordered it at about 2 pm and it arrived the next morning by DHL, less than 24 hours after I ordered it. I didn't have time to look at it in detail so when I got in from work, I set about checking them out and setting them up for the kids before hiding them away till Santa comes. They came in a very nice package and the kids will be very impressed when they see it. Inside were all the usual accessories, warranty cards, loads of instructions and safety stuff plus a few extras like a nice monogrammed velvet pouch for them to carry it around in.
The tablet itself, loads up very quickly, it feels very nice to hold and you can tell it's quality. It was easy to download and install some of their apps. I bought some extra SD cards as I'm sure they'll want to add more apps and games themselves. The software is very fast to load it's just very very fast and easy to use. It's got a welcome screen wizard that shows you how to set up to your WiFi so I think it'll be good for those who may not be very tech savvy. I downloaded some books myself to check the eReader and the pre-installed eBook reader is brilliant.
I already have an iPad myself and couldn't justify buying 3 iPads for my kids (6-14yrs). My 6 and 9 year olds will love it and it scores coolness points for my 14 yr old so I'm very pleased I went for this Nextbook. Excellent choice, excellent tablet.
